DAVE TICE and MARK EVANS are two seasoned musicians who have come together to form a hard edged acoustic duo featuring Dave's powerful vocals and blues harp. Their repertoire includes R'n'B classics by Wilson Pickett and Sam Cooke, through to Swamp influenced John Fogerty, Chuck Berry Rock and Roll and Elvis Presley's Mystery Train, laced with original cuts from Dave's latest CD.
DAVE TICE'S musical history began in the early 70's as front man for heavy rock Pioneers 'Buffalo' , recording and touring Australia extensively. He returned to his homeland , England , to join "The Count Bishops" , at the forefront of the British R'n'B revival ( along with contemporaries "Dr Feelgood" , co-writing album material for the "Feelgoods" with their guitarist Johnny Guitar ). Recording three albums, touring Great Britain and Europe with "The Count Bishops" .
The mid 80's saw Dave form "The Headhunters" with Mark Evans and "Rose Tattoo's" Mick Cocks, becoming a mainstay on Sydney's Blues circuit with his style of R'n'B, and travelling to America to write with Dennis Walker, producer and songwriter for multi-platinum American bluesman Robert Cray. MARK EVANS is the bass player from the classic line-up of AC/DC of the Bon Scott era that yielded the landmark albums - "High Voltage" , "Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap", "TNT", and "Let There Be Rock", including the hits "Jailbreak", "Baby Please Don't Go" and "It's A Long Way To The Top". Mark was based in London with AC/DC recording and touring worldwide with acts such as "Kiss", "Deep Purple", "Black Sabbath" and "Motley Crue", among others. Mark teamed up with Dave in "The Headhunters" and later "The Dave Tice Band". That working relationship has developed into their acoustic duo. Years of experience ensures that an evening spent with these two professionals is bound to be a lot of fun.
