Damon Carren has been playing the blues for nearly 20 years on the Perth music scene.
So the first question many people ask is, "Why haven't we heard of this guy?"
Well "Damo" as his friends know him, likes to keep a low profile and let his music do the talking, which in these times of media hype and spin doctoring doesn't seem to get an artist too far.
Hopefully all that is about to change, with the release of his debut album to be launched at Bridgetown Blues Festival 2007!
The CD features some awesome blues playing from Damon on guitar, dobro, mandolin and 12 string.
Damo will be performing in acoustic duo and rock band trio format, which will show the roots, and the rock side of this great blues performer.
Damon's influences include -Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Robin Trower, Jimmy Page, Jeff Beck, Stevie Ray Vaughn and Deryk Trucks. Not to be missed!
