Jess Gordon

Jess Gordon grew up singing and playing guitar among the trees, rivers and valleys of Bridgetown in the south-west of Western Australia. While drawing inspiration from the Blues, Alternative and Indie genres, Jess' original style of music is her own blend of acoustic folk-rock, influenced by artists such as The Waifs, Ani Difranco and Jack Johnson.

Jess Gordon writes songs from the heart with raw, emotive lyrics that make for both a personal outlet and engaging storytelling with the ability to evoke both empathy and imagination.
Whilst still in high school, Jess achieved airplay of her song 'Rejoice' on national broadcaster Triple J, and later won WA's "Gozzy Rock" contest with her rock band 'Slived', all before the age of 16.

After spending four years in Kalgoorlie working in a music shop and gigging around many of the local venues, Jess has now moved to Perth to pursue and develop her musical career and is planning on recording her debut EP in the next few months.
Whether solo or with a band, Jess Gordon is an artist who retains the ability to captivate and move audiences with her powerful voice, passion for music and insightfully honest songwriting.
