Double Entendre are an upbeat eclectic blast of Gypsy-Rock (which has also been described as "heavy wood"). Likening themselves to a bunch of untamed folkies wiggin' out to rhythm and jazz, these West Australian Fremantle-based vagabonds incorporate instruments such as ukulele, mandolin, didgeridoo, melodica, saxophone and barbershop-style harmonies into tunes that blend Celtic folk, flamenco, swing and Afro-grooves.
Since their formation in 2004, Double Entendre have been raising their profile and gigging solidly around their local independant music scene. The band have also been working hard recording their debut EP, which is due to be released in November and planning to tour the country in the coming year.
