Where’s Geegeelup Marquee moving to?
After several years as the Festival’s second biggest venue and home to some of our greatest ever performers, Geegeelup Marquee will this year move up the hill to the Bridgetown Showgrounds.
The move has been caused by several circumstances beyond our control, however we are taking steps to ensure that access to the new location will be easy and convenient for all patrons.
Unlike the location behind IGA, there is plenty of parking in close proximity to the Showgrounds, and we are looking into the provision of transport between the town centre and the new location. The other good news is that budget camping will still be available at the Showgrounds site, although there will not be any camping on the main oval.
We’d also like to take this opportunity to thank both the present owners of IGA and Jamie Doust for kindly allowing us to occupy the site behind their supermarket for the last ten Festivals.
